Jaap Reesema moves with song for Ukraine: ‘Dad why is that girl crying so?’
“He is 5 so I don’t always tell him the truth. Yet we can learn a lot from the open-mindedness of children,” writes Jaap on Instagram. “I get so emotional with his vision. I couldn’t help but write a song about this.”
Boss of the world
In the song, Jaap sings from his son’s point of view, among other things: “Daddy, why does that man sleep on the street? We have a place in the attic, don’t we? Daddy, who is actually the boss of the world? Shouldn’t he pay attention to him? ” The singer also states that the world would be a lot more beautiful if everyone thought like Muck.

Jaap sang the song, which he made together with Snelle, Monday morning live from Sound and Vision in Hilversum for Radio555. The song is called My Little President and is also available on the streaming services. A portion of the proceeds will go to Giro 555.
