Is Rumbleverse over after 6 months?
The big Battle Royale phase is now over and only a few games were able to assert themselves permanently. Including PUBG, Warzone, Apex Legends and of course Fortnite.
Publisher Epic Games was motivated by the immense success of the colorful shooter last year another battle royale unleashed on the gaming world.
But there was no shooting in Rumbleverse, but neatly knocked. However, the basic principle of the game remained the same: Only one player or one team could ultimately win. Epic Games has also stuck to the exaggerated comic style and so the curious multiplayer brawler was released on August 11th.
And while some big streamers gave the game a stage, the big hype didn’t materialize and also leads us straight to the latest rumour. Because according to Tom Henderson, the servers of the game will be shut down next February:
The fans mourn the young game
However, since Henderson asked the community citing only himself as the sourcethis announcement should be treated with caution for the time being.
However, if Henderson is right, an official statement from Epic Games should follow soon, after all, February is just around the corner.
In any case, the fans are clearly disappointed under the tweet. Finally, there is Rumbleverse just half a year on the market. And publishers usually announce a server shutdown a few months in advance so that players can say goodbye in peace.
So the possible end in February would be quite a brutal exit. But as I said: So far the end of Rumbleverse is just a rumor. We will keep you up to date.
