iPhone users may want to disable this new iOS feature

There’s a new iOS feature that you, as an iPhone user, might not want to use at all. Read more about it here.

iOS is Apple’s operating system. So it also runs on your iPhone. The company has introduced a new feature to the system that is useful, but you have to consider whether you really want to use it.

Disable or not new iOS feature

Sharing photos on your iPhone or iPad just got a whole lot easier thanks to new features introduced in the latest version of Apple’s iOS operating system. But there are a few potential pitfalls. New in iOS 16 is a shared photo library designed to help you share your photos with ease. There is a maximum of five people.

With the new iCloud Shared Photo Library, your own group members can keep their shared memories together in one place. It has been specifically designed to encourage sharing through a range of new support features.

Settings

One of the new settings is a toggle switch built into the camera app that, when enabled, sends every photo you take directly to the shared library. This allows everyone in the group to see it immediately. Another setting uses Bluetooth to enable auto-sharing for you when it detects members of your group are nearby.

Once added, content from the shared library will appear in Memories, Featured Photos, and in the Photo Widget for all group members. Each member of the group has the same level of access and can add, edit, or delete images from the library. But beware, we can just imagine that a number of embarrassing situations like inappropriate photos could inadvertently make their way into the shared library. So consider carefully whether you would like to have this function enabled.
