iPhone SE 3 (2022) and iPad Air 5: repair prices at Apple
Apple reveals today the repair price for the iPhone SE 3 (2022) and the iPad Air 5. These two models have been available for pre-order (here and there) for a few hours, the first deliveries will be on the 18th March.
Prices for repairing iPhone SE 3 (2022)
For the iPhone SE 3 (2022), the repair price is 357 euros. It is more expensive than the 2020 model where the price is 307 euros. The repair for the very first iPhone SE is also 307 euros. Note that this concerns damage other than the screen and the battery. If you have a significant damage, then you will have to pay this price. If you have AppleCare+, it will be 29 euros for damage to the screen or the glass back panel, or 99 euros for another type of damage.
For the battery change, Apple asks 55 euros, like other models (it’s 75 euros for the most recent iPhones). It is offered when the device is under warranty. And to change the screen, Apple asks 171.10 euros. It’s 159 euros for the 2020 model. And surprisingly, the cost for the very first model is 171.10 euros. Note that if you have AppleCare + insurance, the cost will be 29 euros (regardless of the iPhone model).
iPad Air 5 repair price
On the side of the iPad Air 5, Apple demand 481 euros for the repair of the Wi-Fi model and 541 euros for the Wi-Fi + 5G model. It’s 49 euros for people with AppleCare+. For the battery, the cost is 109 euros. It’s free when the tablet is under warranty or insured with AppleCare+. And for the screen? Apple does not give a price, it is only possible to request a quote.
