iPhone 15 Ultra equipped with fast Wi-Fi 6E
According to internal information, the iPhone 15 Ultra will be quite a bit more luxurious than the iPhone 14. According to the well-known Apple blogger Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 will be equipped with the super fast Wi-Fi 6E. And that’s not all. Chunks of code from iOS 17 also reveal that both Pro models will be equipped with this.
Early test production, again with Dynamic Island
The iPhone 15 Ultra will go into test production a month earlier than the iPhone 14. This could indicate a somewhat earlier launch, or that Apple wants to avoid bottlenecks in delivery again. After all, Apple has now started new factories in India and that requires adjustment.
According to another well-known Apple guru, Mark Gurman, the iPhone 15 Ultra and all other models will be equipped with the Dynamic Island. This means that it will be much more attractive for developers to develop specific applications for this. Now the Dynamic Island is only present in both Pro models of the iPhone 14. We will therefore see more of these, which is good news for users.
Another small sensation is that the A17 Bionic chipset will be the first and only chipset for mobile devices, based on the 3 nm architecture. Apple therefore clearly opts for the flight forward, which is also necessary after the somewhat disappointing iPhone 14 story in terms of innovation.
“iPhone 15 Ultra will be € 200 more expensive”
Also for this product round, Apple will increase the differences between the basic models and the Pro models. Leaker LeaksApplePro therefore foresees that the iPhone 15 Ultra will be about €100-€200 more expensive than the current iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The prices of the iPhone 15 basic models will be somewhat lower, because, according to insiders, Apple is quite shocked by the low sales figures of the basic models of the iPhone 14. The presentation of the new iPhone 15 Ultra will probably also take place in September 2023, as is tradition.
Reportedly, the iPhone 15 ultra will be equipped with a titanium frame. Titanium is just as strong as steel, but twice as light. This frame will be applied to all phones of the iPhone 15 series. This reduces the weight by 10-20g, meaning more room for a larger battery, for example. This rumor was previously spread about the iPhone 14, which was incorrect at the time. But maybe delay wasn’t adjustment.
Solid state buttons on the side are another possible change. The big advantage of these buttons is that they do not move in relation to the rest of the frame, which in turn reduces the source of malfunctions and leaks. So they are touch keys, which will vibrate when you press them.
Rumors such as: “Would the back of the iPhone 15 get curved edges everywhere?”, are contradicted by other insiders.
USB-C and periscope lens
Rumors that are a bit more certain are that the iPhone 15 Ultra will have a USB C port. Apple has to, due to EU legislation. The camera technology will also probably be improved considerably, including a periscopic zoom lens. That is also badly needed, because the competition from China and South Korea in this area is not standing still and is already surpassing Apple on a few points. So everything seems that the iPhone 15 Ultra will be a lot more interesting than the iPhone 14 series .
