iPhone 14: Rear Camera Issues
Kuo reports the news on his Twitter channel. Some lenses would therefore tear as a result of a coating. Due to the problem, Apple quickly switched to another supplier for the supply of iPhone 14 lenses.
Previously that was Genius, but now the order of about 10 million lenses is supplied by Largan. This is another Taiwanese company that produces camera lenses for smartphones. By transferring the order quickly, Apple hopes to avoid a significant delay in the production of the iPhone 14.
Last week, the same Kuo reported that some suppliers of screens and memory chips for the iPhone 14 are having delivery problems. Still, he expects – just like now with camera lenses – that the problems will only have a limited impact on mass production.
Release date iPhone 14
Despite the problems, the development of the iPhone 14 series still seems to be on track. Mass production of the iPhones will start in August; the announcement and release will follow in September. You can read more about this in the article about the iPhone 14 release date.
The iPhone 14 series consists of four models. First, there will be a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. More interesting this year are the Pro iPhones, which Apple is said to provide with a 48-megapixel camera. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will also probably have an Always-on screen.
