‘iPhone 13 gets improved wireless charging, can also charge in reverse’
After the introduction of MagSafe last year, Apple would make improvements for the iPhone 13 and wireless charging. This also means that the chance of ‘reverse charging’ is coming back into the picture.

Apple improves iPhone 13 wireless charging
That’s what Max Weinbach says via a video from EverythingApplePro. Based on his sources, all iPhone 13 models would get a larger wireless charging coil. This increases the surface area with which the phone connects to a wireless charger.
In addition to reducing the time you have to search for the ideal way to place the device on a charger, this would also enhance the power of the MagSafe magnet. A godsend for MagSafe car holders, whose iPhone 12 now falls off too easily when you drive over a bump in the road.
Still reverse charging in iPhone 13?
But the larger coil makes more possible than a more powerful version of MagSafe. It could also be used for reverse charging. This function is already in a number of Android phones and allows accessories to be placed on the back of the phone. In theory, for example, you can put a box with AirPods on the back of the iPhone 13 to be able to quickly charge them on the road.
The reverse charging option surfaced in countless rumors about the iPhone 12 last year, but was said to have been scrapped at the last minute. The well-known Apple source Mark Gurman said earlier this year that the reverse charging will not be processed in an iPhone for the time being, but possibly in the 2022 iPad Pro.
This would have to do with the high speed at which a battery drains when you use this function. Because the iPad has a much larger battery capacity than the iPhone, the function would come into its own on Apple’s tablet.
