iPhone 13: faster charging at 25 W?
IPhones aren’t really famous for their charging speed (understatement). Things could change (a little) with the next generation of iPhone 13. If we are to believe indeed the Chinese site MyDrivers, the iPhone 13 could have 25 W “fast” charging this year, instead of 20 W on previous generations of iPhones.
The difference is not huge, but it will go down to 1h30 for a full charge – it is more like 2 hours for an iPhone 12 Pro, and even more for an iPhone 12 Pro Max – even if that will not really change. face off against the armada of compatible Android smartphones “Out of the box” with fast charge 60 or 65 W.
Apple seems to favor here the longevity of the batteries to the speed of charging (the batteries tend to wear out more quickly with high electrical powers), a choice all the more crucial after the sad case of the iPhone slowed down when their batteries dropped below 80% capacity.
