iPhone 13 and iOS 15 release date disappoints (iPhone news #25)

A lot of news about the iPhone 13 last week. A possible release date was mentioned, among other things. A lot also happened around the AirPods and iOS 15. This is the most important iPhone news of last week.

iPhone 13 release: ‘from this date you can buy the new iPhones’

The iPhone 13 will be presented on September 14. You can pre-order it from September 17, and then the release of the iPhone 13 will take place on September 24. It will be just as expensive as its predecessor: 909 euros.

Research: ‘Little enthusiasm for iPhone 13 and iOS 15’

Are you waiting for iOS 15? And is “iPhone 13” a good name for the new Apple phone? American research shows that most people are not very enthusiastic about iOS 15, the new iPhone update that will be released later this year.

The same goes for the iPhone 13. A majority thinks this is a bad name and would rather Apple just call the device “iPhone”, possibly with the year behind it. iPhone 12S is also mentioned as a possible name.

AirPods 3 have gone into mass production, release later this year?

according to DigiTimes seven producers have started making the AirPods 3. It is therefore almost inevitable that the new Apple earbuds will be in stores later this year.

The new generation AirPods seem to take over the design of the AirPods Pro. For example, they would have shorter stems and stay in your ears better. The sound quality will (hopefully) improve as a result.

Cheaper iPhone with Touch ID and 6.7-inch screen coming in 2022

According to a new rumor, Apple will release five new iPhones in 2022, including a cheaper model with a 6.7-inch screen and Touch ID sensor below the display. Apple will also announce a brand new iPhone SE in the first half of the year.

At least that’s what it claims Ming-Chi Kuo. The usually reliable source claims that we have to wait another year for the new iPhone SE. Next year, the fingerprint scanner would finally move below the screen.
