iPad Pro OLED would arrive in 2024, but MacBook Pro OLED would be postponed
In addition to the iPhone and Apple Watch, Apple will bring the OLED display to the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro. But if new information is to be believed, we will have to wait a little longer when it comes to the laptop.
Omdia law firm announcement that the iPad Pro with the OLED screen should see the light of day in 2024, as previous rumors have announced. As it stands, Apple offers an 11-inch iPad Pro with an LED screen, where the 12.9-inch model has a Mini-LED screen. Next year, the two models would switch to an OLED panel.
For the MacBook Pro, the firm ensures that the initial project was to have availability in 2026. But Apple would have made the decision to postpone the release to 2027. For current models, there is an LCD screen on the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro. For the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, Apple offers a Mini-LED display.
The release window in 2027 is in any case somewhat surprising based on previous rumors. Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young meanwhile have suggested a 2024 release at the earliest. Both are generally well informed, especially the second for everything related to screens.
