Update from June 16, 2021: In the run-up to Prime Day 2021, Amazon is already lowering the prices for the last models of the iPad Pro 2020 that are still available. For example, you pay for the 12.9-inch model with 256 GB of storage for only 909 euros – best price. Elsewhere, on the other hand, prices of 1,000 euros are not uncommon.
For comparison: For the successor with comparable memory equipment, more than 1,300 euros have to be paid. So if you value a large display and still have enough performance, you probably have the last chance to get hold of such a cheap remaining stock.

MediaMarkt is currently waiting with an extremely strong offer for the iPad Pro (2020): The model with 11-inch display is currently available for 699 euros and therefore cheaper than ever before. The top price applies to the WLAN model with 128 GB of storage space in silver or space gray. Meanwhile, the MediaMarkt offer has also Amazon reacted: The iPad Pro was now also available there for 699 euros, currently even another 10 euros cheaper – that is, for 689 euros.

Also the price for that 12.9-inch iPad Pro has fallen: MediaMarkt sells the Apple tablet for 899 euros – At the beginning of April, prices here were just under 980 euros. In this case, Amazon has not yet taken part, the price for the same model is still 979 euros.
Explanation for the sharp drop in prices (at the beginning of April the price fluctuated around 760 euros according to the Idealo price comparison): Apple has now presented a successor to the iPad Pro. The new model comes with useful improvements – among other things, Apple is installing its own M1 processor for the first time – but also at a significantly higher price: It starts at 879 euros, and lower prices are initially not expected.
iPad Pro 2020: Current price situation
The iPad Pro 2020 is now a year under its belt – as is typical for Apple, the price has only fallen very slowly during this period: after the launch of the iPad Pro 2020, you paid around 850 (11-inch model) to 1,030 euros (12 , 9-inch model), it was € 750 and € 980 respectively at the beginning of April 2021. Only the introduction of the successor model has now put a lot of pressure on the price.

Is the iPad Pro 2020 worth it?
The iPad Pro was refreshed in March 2020, and is still an excellent tablet that doesn’t have to hide despite the successor model. Commendable: Even the cheapest model now contains 128 GB of storage, previously it was a meager 64 GB. There is also the new LiDAR scanner, a type of 3D camera for AR applications. A technology that will gain in importance in the future, at the latest when Apple introduces its AR glasses in the next year or two.
