iOS 17 would propose notable changes to the control center on iPhone
Apple will offer several new features with iOS 17 and one of them would concern the control center on iPhone. This would be a major update for this element.
Information come from a leaker on the MacRumors forums who had revealed information on the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro before Apple made it official. Unfortunately, he doesn’t share specific details about any notable changes coming to the Control Center. He says, however, that iOS 17 should mostly be an update with performance and stability improvements.
As a reminder, the control center on iPhone debuted with iOS 7, which was a big update including a new interface. It is possible to have several quick accesses, such as buttons to activate and deactivate Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, airplane mode, network and more. It is also possible to manage the media player, the volume, quickly launch applications (camera, stopwatch, etc.) or even adjust the brightness.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously said iOS 17 will deliver user-requested features. He didn’t go into details, but a previous leak (again from Gurman) suggests that Apple will offer sideloading in Europe. Thus, users should be able to install iOS applications without necessarily going through the App Store.
