iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 now available
The time has come: Apple has just released iOS 15.3 and the update is immediately available for download for all recent iPhones. A new version of iPadOS is also available.

Download iOS 15.3: this is how you install the new update
Apple has released fresh updates for the iPhone and iPad tonight. iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 are now available for download. Unfortunately, the new software does not offer any new features, but does contain several bug fixes and stability improvements. We therefore recommend that you install the latest version of iOS 15 on your smartphone and/or tablet as soon as possible. Follow the steps below for this:
- Make sure your iPhone battery is at least 50 percent full or hang it on the charger;
- Go to the Settings app and tap “General”;
- Choose ‘Software update’ in this menu and let your iPhone (or iPad) search for the latest update;
- Found it? Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update.
Does iOS 15.3 not immediately appear on the screen? Then you unfortunately have to wait. Just after the release of a new update, a lot of people want to download the software. This creates digital queues. Please try again in an hour.
In the meantime, consider backing up your iPhone. In most cases, downloading iOS 15.3 will go without a hitch, but you never know. If something does go wrong, you will at least not lose any important data.
iOS 15.4 will (hopefully) be a bigger update
It’s of course somewhat disappointing that iOS 15.3 doesn’t add any new features to your iPhone. Fortunately, we expect the next update, iOS 15.4, to be a lot more substantial. For example, we are still waiting for ‘Universal Control’. This allows you to control multiple Macs and iPads with one keyboard and mouse. Apple recently claimed that this feature will be available in the spring. So there is a good chance that we can welcome him in iOS 15.4.
