The popular action series Dino Crisis will not and will not return. We have been separated from its first part for more than 21 years, from the last, ie the third, then about 17 years. Fans are calling for a sequel, and speculation in previous years has raised hopes, but where nothing, nothing. And so someone else took the opportunity. Someone who has nothing to do with Capcom and the Dino Crisis brand – the young New Zealand studio Hashbane.
In the local offices, they are currently working hard on their first game called Instinction, which is to be the spiritual successor of the Dino Crisis series. We don’t know much about it, but even the little one arouses real curiosity.
Apparently it will be an action shooter in which you go after each other with prehistoric animals. You will do so as part of a story campaign that you can complete yourself or in cooperation. The creators are attracted to a semi-open environment, whatever that means in the context of a wild jungle. And in addition to the event, there will also be solving puzzles.
You will have a choice of weapons arsenal containing both assault rifles and rocket launchers, as well as cold weapons, and the choice should be conditional on the assignment of the missions. You will further modify individual items of your murderous inventory by choosing accessories from stocks through silencers to various sights and skins.
The official site reveals a few more technical details. It can be seen that the creators are striving for a really sophisticated graphic side drawing the power of ray-tracing, DLSS 2.0 and similar delicacies of today. The game will support 8K display and can run at up to 120 frames per second. Within the user interface, everything can be turned off, but also rearranged as you wish, and you can create various presets.
The promised support for haptic response and adaptive triggers reveals that Instinction will be available on at least the PlayStation 5. We can only assume that the game will also appear on rival Xbox Series X / S and computers. It should be released in the third quarter of next year.
