In the new retro adventure, you will play for HP Lovecraft -apkrig
Fans of classic adventures should pay attention. An interesting game Chronicle of Innsmouth: Mountains of Madness inspired by the novel of the same name will be released this month. This is another lovecraft title, but before you turn your eyes in disgust (yes, there are a lot of them coming out now), try to take a closer look at it. This is a retro point-and-click adventure inspired by LucasArts classics from the 1990s.
The game succeeded in the Kickstarter campaign, where it raised over 11,000 euros.
The main character is investigator Lone Carter, who returns home, but of course it won’t be that simple. Death will cross his path. His own, though only temporary. We have to deal with mysterious disappearances and deaths in an effort to find out the truth, but its revelation may end up being too much for the protagonist. A polar science expedition will make a shocking discovery…
The novelty is the prequel to the Chronicle of Innsmouth from 2017. The game succeeded in the Kickstarter campaign, where it collected over 11,000 euros and allegedly contains a number of funny allusions, which will be appreciated especially by Lovecraft fans. The story is supposed to be adult and scary, combining horror with a detective story. Challenging but clever and logical puzzles await us.
During the game, we come across a number of characters, including those that come directly from the works of Lovecraft. In addition to Detective Carter, after all, we will also play as the fictional author of Necronomicon, the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred, and even HP Lovecraft himself. In addition to retro graphics with a resolution of 640 × 360 pixels, the atmosphere is to be underlined by an exciting and disturbing soundtrack.
The Italian studio PsychoDev is behind the game. The Chronicle of Innsmouth: Mountains of Madness will be released on March 23 on PC and in the third quarter of this year also on Switch, iOS and Android. The title will sell for 18 euros. A demo was even available on Kickstarter, but it doesn’t work now. You will find here at least a sample from the soundtrack.
