Impressions from the Halo Infinite -apkrig campaign
Halo Infinite from 343 Industries has set a comeback of the year. The underrated action, which was more than a year behind the original plan and launch of the Xbox Series, is finally behind the door. We’ve tried out the story campaign and we can tell you that in the end, combined with free-to-play multiplayer released in advance, it has the potential to burn the pond to other first person events that you might have considered favorites a few months ago. We thoroughly discussed our impressions of the campaign in the video, but you can also read the short text.
These are the doubts from last year and the first single shows. Halo Infinite has a great start and from the first moment promises an emotional and magnificent heroic story, whose main character is again the indomitable Master Chief. The excellent cut scenes will quickly draw you into the action and leave no one in doubt that we will have a narrative sci-fi that can be urgent, dramatic, intimate and emotional, while avoiding exaggerated pathos, although the developers clearly place the protagonist in the role of a real hero, almost to savior.
If you think from the latest demonstrations that the graphics you originally criticized have made significant progress, you are right. While it may not be enough for the absolute top, in the environment here and there you come across rougher places or scenery in which the authors save detail, it is difficult to complain in the face of how much progress, at least subjectively, the game has made in the field of overall aesthetics and lighting. Everything has a much clearer impression and most importantly, one finally wants to admire the unique architecture and stylization of the local world. Although I may have come across things that deserve further care, such as a cheap visual effect in sprints, facial expressions or lip movement, the very fact that one does such things is a kind of proof that we can get into the little things. and we have no problem with the overall look.
Although the world of the Halo saga has always been a bit sterile, Infinite is becoming more organic because we move in a partially open world, we have more freedom, and although we do not encounter destruction on the scale of Battlefield, we can destroy something in the environment. When everything around you starts to explode and burn due to the fight, the enemies fly head to head and the ship of opponents floats in the sky, the whole scene rightly gives the impression of greater spontaneity, which we may sometimes lack in games, despite modern graphics. Moreover, this is often not just about scripts, but things that happen situationally.
Halo is an imaginative and very entertaining first person event. It traditionally offers great gunplay, which is one of the best in the field of gamepad-controlled shooters.
In the end, of course, it’s not upgraded graphics, hilarious dubbing, great music or immersive effects that will draw you into the game first and foremost. It is the event itself. Halo is simply an imaginative and very fun first person event. It traditionally offers great gunplay, which is one of the best in the field of gamepad-controlled shooters. In this sense, it almost equals fixes like Call of Duty or Destiny, which you can criticize for a lot, but they have mastered shooting on the controller perfectly. The fights are exciting, fun and artificial intelligence keeps you on your toes.
It doesn’t matter what weapon you hold in your hand, whether you complete the main mission, or you slow down the pace and time by a secondary task, such as conquering an enemy base or freeing captured comrades. The action has great dynamics and as silly as it may sound, shooting is just fun. Especially when, in addition to various machines and stationary towers, you also use a handy anchor in combat. This allows the hero to quickly get to the elevated places, but also to attract an explosive canister, which he can immediately throw at a group of opponents.
Like other tools, you can upgrade this piece of equipment. Over time, you will strengthen your energy shield or improve the capabilities of the sensor. At the same time, the movement in the semi-open world of the Zeta Halo ring seems to fit beautifully into the concept of the 20-year-old series. After all, various self-movements have been an integral part of movement and action since time immemorial. And in addition to the main missions, it offers the player the side tasks and activities that he may encounter organically while exploring the futuristic world. Especially when the exteriors and bowels of various buildings can be fully examined.
Although Halo Infinite continues the story so far, I think that even those who don’t know older games or didn’t play them all will get into the game quickly. Although the developers do not present the game as a soft-reboot or reboot and do not explicitly go hand in hand with newcomers, with a little effort, everyone can immediately orient themselves in the local events and ecosystem. You don’t have to be a veteran of the saga to quickly understand which enemies are cowards and start fleeing at the slightest sign of superiority, and who, on the other hand, require a little wit in combat and should not get in their way unprepared. Surely one could argue that the presented gameplay has not really surprised anything extraordinary yet and that the whole event is quite old-fashioned, but such is the Halo to a large extent and the fans want it to be. The game has already revolutionized the game and is now building on the foundations.
Halo is very well on its way to becoming one of the pleasant surprises of this year’s turbulent season.
One of Microsoft’s most important titles has been in development for a long time, but it seems that the time invested by the authors will pay off in the end. The postponement has clearly benefited the game, and Halo Infinite is further proof that sometimes a delay in the game is necessary and eventually appreciated by players. At the same time, the changes the authors have made in the field of graphics, whatever they thought about the initial response from the fans, underline that listening to the community pays off.
We were able to get impressions from the campaign on the basis of the first few missions. I can’t say what the game will be like, whether it will manage to maintain the set pace and it will entertain us all the time. But he is very well on his way to becoming one of the pleasant surprises of this year’s turbulent season. The fact that I am currently saving criticism is due to the fact that we have doubts in the hands on preview area, but also to the fact that I did not have much reason to complain too much during the first few hours. Despite many doubts and birth complications, the Master Chief can return in very good condition. And that’s damn optimistic news for everyone who loves this saga, but also for those looking for something a little different in the shooting field.
