‘I have convinced my children that I can see everything they do’

The infamous mother’s eyes, which can see everything, made Rebecca believe to her children. And so there are more little lies that sometimes make life, or at least the day, a lot easier.
Ellen (39): “On every how do you know/can/do you do that, I answer: ‘I learned at the mamaschool.’ Because everything you learn at mamaschool is true, it saves a lot of discussion. My eldest children believed this until they were about nine or ten years old, my youngest had known since the age of five that something was wrong with this story.”

Mom sees everything
Mary (47): “I always tell my youngest daughter that I have ears and eyes everywhere, so we always find out if she is up to something bad.
Recently she was with a friend and two boys in a nearby village, she said during dinner. I asked who they were and when she named the boys, I said, “I know the mother of one of those boys.” She didn’t believe me, but it just so happened to be the case, so I texted that mother: ‘How nice that our children have met.’
My daughter was really impressed and bummed that indeed she can’t do anything without me finding out what she’s up to. I admit: I was also surprised at how small our world is.”
Notorious mother eyes
Rebecca (36): “I convinced my children that I have ‘mother eyes’ that allow me to see everything and look back at everything they do. Long live the neighborhood group apps and my good guesses.”
