Huawei is developing cell phone technology that has never existed before
Huawei has been slowed down worldwide, but continues to develop exciting ideas that are likely to be integrated into future cell phones. This time it’s about unlocking the cell phone, whereby the Chinese manufacturer is going its own way, which we have never seen before.
Huawei smartphones should be unlocked with lips
Current smartphones can be unlocked with a fingerprint, face scan and some other normal methods, such as the classic PIN. But that’s not enough for Huawei. It has now been announced that the Chinese company wants to use people’s lips to unlock the cell phone (source: MyDrivers via HuaweiCentral). Artificial intelligence is supposed to provide the user of a smartphone with a very high level of precision recognize by lip movements and features.
This idea from Huawei caused a lot of amusement in Chinese forums. There you already imagine that you will soon be able to unlock Huawei’s smartphones with a kiss. Our opinion after, however, the analysis of the lips could significantly increase the security of a face scan. The more individual information is recognized during unlocking, the more difficult it is to forge it. If Huawei manages to identify unique features from lip movements of humans, that could significantly increase the security of the smartphone.

Is Huawei’s technology really being used?
Huawei filed the patent back in 2019 and it has only now been published. Just because you have secured the idea doesn’t mean that it will actually be used in a final product.
