Huawei has introduced high-end tablets with HarmonyOS and Qualcomm processors
Huawei has a big day today. In addition to the HarmonyOS operating system itself, which we were all curious about, it also introduces new devices. The new MatePad Pro (12.6 ″ and 10.8 ″) and MatePad 11 tablets are also running on the latest system. Theverge and XDA-Developers have announced the news.
In addition to being the first tablets with a new operating system, the smaller MatePad Pro and MatePad 11 are equipped with Qualcomm processors. 10.8 ″ For the model received a Snapdragon 870, MatePad 11 includes a Snapdragon 865. The most equipped model is equipped with a Kirin 9000E processor.
HarmonyOS in the lead role
The transition to HarmonyOS does not bring back Google applications, of course we did not expect that. If you are among the users who are not significantly hindered, these can be very interesting tablets. Huawei’s AppGallery is constantly growing and new local applications are regularly added to the store. The manufacturer provided the most information about the largest of the tablets presented today, so let’s take a closer look.
The 12.6 ″ OLED display received a sufficiently fine resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The mirroring function has been expanded with the possibility to mirror the image of the tablet to the Huawei laptop. Until now, this was only possible in a combination of smartphone + tablet.
The novelty received a battery with a capacity of 10050 mAh, the manufacturer boasts that the tablet can play video for 14 hours. That is a very decent value. There is fast wired charging with a power of 40 W, 27 W wireless charging and even reverse wireless charging with a power of 10 W.
There is a triple camera at the back, up to 4 microphones ensure seamless call quality and the tablet contains 8 speakers. Wi-Fi 6 is not missing and the most expensive variant also comes with 5G support.
Along with the tablets, Huawei also introduced the second generation of the M-Pencil stylus, which is more accurate and has a delay of only 9 ms. We do not yet know the prices and availability of tablets in Slovakia.

Huawei MatePad Pro in competition
Not much has been happening in the field of Android tablets lately. Samsung still reigns supreme with its Galaxy Tab S7 + with a nice 120 Hz display, great performance, S Pen and 5G support. Apple has a new ace up its sleeve in the form of the new iPad 12.9 ″, which is equipped with an ultra-powerful M1 processor and an XDR display.
