High performance at a low price
Thanks to the hardware crisis, PC parts are particularly expensive right now – but gaming laptops do not seem to be affected by the bottleneck. Alternate currently has a smart gaming notebook at a low price. GIGA reveals for whom the purchase is worthwhile – and what you have to consider.
Lenovo Legion 5 on offer: 15.6-inch gaming laptop for 999 euros
While you have to dig deep into your pockets for PC hardware, some retailers continue to offer gaming laptops at solid budget prices. Alternate, for example, has just greatly reduced the Lenovo Legion 5. Instead of 1,199 euros, the gaming notebook only costs 999 euros, plus 6.99 euros, so that the total costs amount to 1,005.99 euros.

Do you want to buy a new notebook? Then you should pay special attention to the following things:
Lenovo gaming laptop: strong device with a weakness
The Combination of Ryzen 5 processor and RTX 3060 offers enough power to play most games in full HD resolution and high details in a very smooth frame rate. The rest of the hardware also looks very well put together across the board – especially at a price of around 1,000 euros. A battery with a capacity of 80 Wh is a real rarity in this price segment, for example.
The only drawback is the display. With 120 Hz Although it offers a pleasantly high refresh rate, which shooter games in particular will appreciate, the maximum brightness is very dark at 250 cd / m². On sunny days, this should ensure that you can hardly see anything on the screen when you are working or playing outside.
The color space coverage of 45 percent NTSC does not exactly cause cheers. Potential customers should be aware that the color representation leaves something to be desired. If that doesn’t bother you – or if you connect the laptop to your gaming monitor using a suitable cable anyway – it shouldn’t bother you. Overall, the Lenovo Legion 5 at Alternate is a real value for money at a price of 999 euros – even without a pre-installed operating system.
