Google Maps is very nice to use and these tricks will make your life even better.

The online map service used to be called Google Local, but that didn’t come across very well. It was soon transformed to Google Maps. With the map service you can look up geographical locations. Today, many more features have been added to it. Some more famous than others.

Tricks for Google Maps

The service is available for tablet, smartphone and PC. It makes it possible to look up companies and locations, start route navigation and view aerial photos. It is also the gateway to Google Streetview. In addition, there are quite a few useful other functionalities.

Save cards

It’s annoying, but it happens. Sometimes you don’t have coverage and you can’t use Google Maps. But the service solves this by providing the option to save the cards in advance. Then you can just find the way. You can do this by clicking on your name icon in the address bar. Then you go to offline maps. Then select the area and save it.

Search car

We all have it sometimes: you can’t find your car. Parking was so hectic the day before that you forgot where you left it. Google Maps has the solution for this. Open the app and press the blue stop of your position. If you do this, you will see a menu at the bottom where you can set your parking space. This means you can always find the car by walking to the P in Google Maps.

Busy locations

A lot of people use Google Maps and/or an Android phone. This makes it quite easy for Google to estimate how busy it is somewhere. The company can then share this again. Very interesting and useful to check how busy it is in the gym. Or at a store. You can check this by pressing the icon of the company or location.
