Hackers offered Cyberpunk and Sorcerer source code -apkrig
This case is likely to evolve rapidly in the coming hours and days. Hackers who were supposed to attack the servers of the CD Projekt RED studio allegedly started offering stolen data, as they had previously threatened. The blackmail of the Polish team, which refused to pay the ransom, thus moved to the next stage. The group is said to be auctioning source codes for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Sorcerer 3.
The HelloKitty group is to be responsible for the attack and allegedly has already published the source codes of the Gwent card game. This happened after the hackers’ deadline of 48 hours during which the CD Projekt had to pay expired. At the same time, hackers are in danger of another leak to follow, trying to increase the pressure to pay the ransom.
In this way, blackmailers often repeatedly release more and more sensitive information in an effort to get the victim to change their mind and eventually pay. It is speculated that the next in line may be the release of Thronbider source code.
Update: It seems that the package of captured data from the CD Project already has a new owner. Someone allegedly paid an undisclosed amount for it and it will not be further disseminated. It is not clear whether it was someone on behalf of the CD Project, or a completely unknown entity, and what he intends to do with the documents and source codes.
The original message continues: Another packet of data for the Sorcerer and Cyberpunk is to be auctioned for $ 1 million, with the option to buy it now for $ 7 million. However, stacks of internal documents and other materials can be an equally serious problem. However, players are not supposed to be afraid, according to the CD Project, there is no personal data of customers among the leaked data. But hackers have threatened that what they have in their hands could damage the studio’s reputation.
Update: a mistake was made. They stated starting bid $1kk. This was assumed as a typo for $1,000. They meant $1,000,000. They are also selling immediately for $7,000,000.

We do not wish to go into details for understandable reasons. We do not want to induce anyone to actively search for stolen data. After Capcom or Nintendo, the CD Project is several large gaming companies that have recently become the target of hackers.
