The Warner Brothers Games studio responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins has revealed a lot of interesting crumbs from the GamesRadar + website. The interview said, for example, that the Gotham Knighs are designed primarily around a two-piece koop, which is supposed to offer a very specific superhero adventure. The other player can join you at any time and disconnect at any time, which should mean that even in one player it will be a balanced experience.
The popular combat system from the previous series with the Dark Knight is returning in a significantly modified form to work well in multiplayer. “Of course, it’s still an action battle and some mechanisms will not be completely foreign to you, but in many ways it’s a very different duel,” said executive producer Fleur Marty.
Although Gotham Knights will present a unique concept of a two-piece koop, it will also have something to offer in solo. The game allows you to switch between the four heroes in their new base The Belfry, where you spend time in broad daylight. The heroes will group together here, gain strength, move the story forward, exchange equipment, costume and improve their unique skills.
As soon as it gets dark, you accept one of the challenges or a new mission and take to the streets as one of the night watchmen. At the same time, you do not have to worry that the hero you have chosen will not have the required level. Whoever you play for, it is believed that the other three characters run around the city and fight crime on their own, so they automatically improve. This supposedly eliminates any grind.
At the same time, the enemies adapt to your level, so every night walk around Gotham City will be a challenge. WB Games is creating its own story in this legendary city, detached from comics, movies and other famous stories, and the city itself should be very ambitious, according to the producer: “The event takes place in the open city of Gotham City, which in our opinion an embodiment of open space in the history of video games. “
This is a fairly bold statement that we would very much like to believe, but nothing is certain until we have the game in hand. If the information from last August is valid, then Gotham Knights should be released this year on PC and current and previous generation of consoles.
