Google Wallet update solves payment card problems on smartwatch

A new update fixes issues users experienced with a debit card in the Google Wallet app. In the past few days there were problems, so that paying via the smartwatch did not go smoothly for everyone.

This week we wrote about problems in the Google Wallet app. Those who installed the app on their Watch with Wear OS had problems since the transition from Google Pay to Google Wallet. It was not possible for them to add a new debit card. Inconvenient, especially for the large group of people who had just bought a smartwatch for this.

Han now reports to DroidApp that the problems have been addressed. You can download an update for this via ‘My Apps’ in the Play Store on your smartwatch (not on smartphone). After the update, it is again possible to add a debit card via the watch and therefore pay contactless in this way.
