With the announcement of the Pixel 7 series, the news is of course important that the phones are for sale in the Netherlands for the first time. But what counts the most are of course the features that Google launches. We already cover a lot in our Pixel 7 announcement article, but the improvements for the Recorder app also deserve attention.
Recorder allows you to record sound on Pixels and the Pixel 7 series are the first phones to work with version 4.0 of the app. With that version, users can change the playback speed when they listen to a recording. The following speeds are supported: 0.5x, 1.0x, 1.5x, 2.0x and 3.0x.
Labels for speakers
Recorder also has a transcription function that converts recorded recordings into text on your screen. To be clear, this does not yet work in Dutch, but Recorder does recognize English, French and German, among other things. Google also makes the transcripts more clear, because Recorder will now recognize the different voices of speakers and the app also places labels with the transcript. You can give those labels the name of the speaker yourself. Under such a label of a speaker, the things he says always appear.
