Google has killed the best music player for Android Auto
Remember the Google Play Music app? At one time, it was a successful Google application that allowed you to purchase songs from the Internet and then listen to them offline or online. A possible subscription was also an option. Google has decided to cancel it and move it under YouTube Music. As a result, Google has actually discontinued its official music player for Android Auto. The report was brought by the AutoEvolution portal.
Google has buried Google Play Music and thus a capable official player for Android Auto
Of course, Google has allowed users to migrate their playlists, albums and songs to the new player. In addition, they are allowed to play the mentioned warehouses freely, even without a subscription.
But that’s not enough, because the current YouTube Music player isn’t a bit finished. Multiple users are complaining about it, mainly because it won’t allow more than 100 albums. In short, the application cannot handle large lists. Is it limited by less powerful hardware in cars?
“I only see the first 100 albums I uploaded via Android Auto to my JVC radio. The same problem persists even though I’m using one of my Samsung phones plugged into a car, so it’s definitely a problem with YouTube Music rather than a device problem. “ complains on Google Forum.
Google also confirmed that “Android Auto does not support long lists, ” then advises users to turn on voice control or use the Play Shuffle feature, which plays music in random order.
This solution is far from practical, as people simply want to have a whole list of favorite songs. However, the Google team has passed this information to its Android Auto team, which will try to fix it. We just have to wait, as Google has not specified the approximate date of the adjustments.
