The Beats Fit Pro have been released in a number of new colors. The earphones are now available in coral pink, bright yellow and deep sea blue. Previously, the Beats Fit Pro were already available in black, white, bright purple and mint gray. For comparison: all models of the AirPods (Pro) are only available in white at Apple. Via Colorware it is also possible to order AirPods in all colors you want.

The Beats Fit Pro look quite different from Apple’s earphones, but like the AirPods Pro, they also have noise reduction and a transparency mode. Are the Beats Fit Pro a good alternative to the AirPods Pro 2?

Beats Fit Pro vs the AirPods Pro 2

If you only look at the functions of the Beats Fit Pro, you will quickly see that the earphones on paper are very similar to the AirPods Pro. The biggest difference can be seen in the design. For example, the ‘stems’ are present on both earphones, but with the Beats Fit Pro they are raised and you put them ‘in’ your ear. With the AirPods Pro they are down. What you prefer to sit in depends on your personal preference.

The Beats earphones therefore have adaptive noise reduction, just like the AirPods Pro (2), with which the earphones block annoying ambient noise. Both the AirPods Pro and Beats Fit Pro can switch between noise canceling and Transparency mode. This way you choose when you hear ambient sounds and when you don’t. In this area, the earphones are not inferior to each other.

Beats earphones work well with Apple’s ecosystem

Perhaps the most important benefit of the Beats Fit Pro is that they work well with Apple’s ecosystem. It is usually the best option to add an Apple product to your collection if you only have Apple devices. However, this is not the case with the Beats Fit Pro: the earphones run on the H1 chip, just like the first generation AirPods Pro.

This chip makes it easy to connect between different devices, so you can effortlessly connect to your iPhone and your MacBook. Because the Beats Fit Pro are equipped with the H1 chip, the earphones also work with Siri. The AirPods Pro 2 run on the H2 chip, which mainly makes the noise reduction a bit better.

Battery of the AirPods Pro is better

As far as the battery is concerned, the Beats Fit Pro are inferior to the AirPods Pro 2. With Beats earphones, you can listen to up to 6 hours of music with noise reduction. If you charge the earphones in the case in between, you will have a total of 24 hours of listening time.

With the AirPods Pro 2, you can also listen to music for up to 6 hours (with noise reduction switched on). The difference between the earphones lies in the battery of the charging case: if you charge the AirPods Pro 2 in the case in between, you can use the earphones for a total of 30 hours. For longer listening pleasure, you should therefore go to the AirPods Pro 2.

Conclusion: Beats Fit Pro excellent alternative

The Beats Fit Pro can be purchased for around 200 euros, while the AirPods Pro cost € 263.95. The Beats are therefore considerably cheaper, which is an important consideration when purchasing the earphones.

The Beats Fit Pro are not inferior to the AirPods Pro 2, making it an excellent (and especially cheaper) alternative. The AirPods Pro 2 have a new chip and therefore work slightly better, but the price difference makes the Beats Fit Pro a very good deal. Check out the best deals here:
