Gollum – Ritual stone puzzles and correct order of the elves

After escaping with Mell, you’ll hike through the forest towards the fog. The journey takes you to the sacred tree with the ritual stones, where Mell lost her sight. Unfortunately, she can’t remember the correct order, so now you have to help her out and figure out the correct order for the elements.

Ritual Stone Puzzle: Find Items

In addition to the riddle master and Mell, six other elves were also involved in the ritual magic. Each of them stood on one of the ritual stones:

• Celon (Elf with bow)
• Cethil (Elbin with pigtails)
• Dondopher (elf with knife)
• Eristor (elf with staff)
• Priann (Elbin with feather headdress)
• Tûrlen (Barefoot Elf)

In the introduction to the riddle you will learn how the trail and aura of the past spirits work. Find her in instinct mode Eristor’s staff on the ground by the tree. Then go back into instinct mode and follow the glowing line to the ritual stone. This ritual stone is fixed and cannot be changed later. So that you can activate the other ritual stones, you must also look for the traces. Only when you have found all the clues about a person can you assign them to a stone.

Celon: find elf with bow

To find Celon’s items, you have to go to the tree that we show you in the picture above. There you can climb up and find the petrified Celon and his bow on a branch. Even if it’s a red bow and Gollum says it’s blue, you’ve found Celon. Next to the tree on the right is a pavilion where the shot arrows lay. Now follow the instinct trail back to the ritual stone and activate the stone.

Cethil: Find Elf with Pigtails

Look for the place in the picture, there you will find a pond with several stones in the water that lead to an island. On the island you will find two faces carved in stone. These are two elves. One of the two is Cethil. Now activate the instinct mode and Don’t follow the trail to the left, instead follow the trail to the ritual stone.

Priann: Elf with feather headdress

Priann is the second Elf transformed on the island. So go back to the island and follow the trail to the left. There you will find some feathers on the ground. From the feathers you can go back to the ritual stone.

Dondopher: Elf with knife

On the flower meadow near Mell you will find a knife on the ground. From there, go in the direction of the water lily pond and stand on the foremost illuminated stone. There you will find a trail of blood, which is now connected to the knife. Jump into the water and dive to the bottom. Here you will find a sword blade, which was mistranslated as “hilt”. The knife you found earlier is the second part of the sword blade. Now follow the instinct trail to the appropriate ritual stone.

Tûrlen: Barefoot Elf

You can find the last elf when you on the way to the red branched tree. In front of it is a yellow flower meadow where you can find the footprints of Tûrlen. From here you have to go right until you come to a stone bridge. There you’ll find a pair of boots, from which Mell deduces that it must be Tûrlen, since she likes to go around barefoot. Now follow the instinct trail to the last ritual stone.

Activate Ritual Stones

If you did everything right and activated the last ritual stone, Mell will automatically cast the spell and the cutscene will begin. If that doesn’t happen, then the order isn’t quite right for you. Neither Mell nor Smeagol will give you any further information. In the picture above we show you the correct order if one of your stones is not placed correctly. In addition, you will find a message written in blood in the fog, which is said to have come from the riddle master. You’ll find out if this is true or not if you walk through the fog.
