Game director and chief designer of Diablo 4 to leave Activision Blizzard
Two senior Diablo 4 developers have left Activision Blizzard. The game manufacturer did not give a reason. A connection with the sexism scandal is suspected.
A “culture of constant sexual harassment and discrimination” suspects the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing at the game manufacturer Activision Blizzard. The sexism scandal and the company’s reaction have caused quite a stir in the past few days. Blizzard Entertainment President J. Allen Brack had to lift his hat. Now three leading developers of the game forge have left the company.

Three developers have left the game company
These include game director Luis Barriga and chief designer Jesse McCree from the action role-playing game Diablo 4 and game designer Jonathan LeCraft who works for World of Warcraft. Activision Blizzard has opposite the industry portal Kotaku confirmed that the three developers would no longer work for the company.
The company did not comment on the reasons. It is also unclear whether the company fired the employees or they quit of their own accord. In any case, observers assume that the departures of the three leading developers are related to the current sexism scandal.

Blizzard tried to dispel worries that there could be problems with further game development. “A large and talented group of developers is already ready. We hired new leaders where needed, ”Activision Blizzard told Kotaku. They are confident that they will continue to be able to “offer great experiences” to the players and will do everything in their power to “ensure a safe and productive work environment for everyone”.
To what extent the whole thing affects the development of Diablo 4 is not clear in the meantime. The game is still in the middle of development. There is no official release date for the game announced in 2019. Diablo 4 is likely to hit the market in 2022.
