Samsung wants to focus on security
A point highlighted by Samsung is good security. When the laptop PC starts, a check is made at the firmware level to ensure that it has not been modified by a virus. Once everything is good and the processor has no problems, Windows 11 launches. It also verifies that the hardware, software and drivers are legitimate, and also takes care of blocking any unauthorized access to RAM. In addition, the fingerprint sensor stores the fingerprint in a dedicated chip for even more security.
According to Samsung, this type of computer is typically offered to employees in finance, healthcare, or government agencies. Today, the manufacturer wants to offer a similar experience to the general public.
And still in terms of security, there is the Private Share feature. Like what is found on Galaxy smartphones, it allows you to share a file with a link and to choose the validity period of the link. It is based on blockchain technology.
Power is another point highlighted
Samsung has chosen Intel’s 12th generation processors for its Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. Performance is up 75% (with all processor cores) compared to previous generations, according to Samsung. constructor. The Intel Arc Graphics graphics chip is also available with the 15.6-inch model.
Also, the cooling system has been revised with larger ventilation holes and a new software algorithm for better efficiency. According to Samsung, the PC does not heat up even with software requiring resources.
On the other hand, the brightness improves on the AMOLED screen: up to 33% gain compared to the previous generation. HDR mode can go up to 500 nits.
As for software, Samsung announces the arrival of its Device Care application. Already available on Galaxy smartphones, it allows you to check the PC to make sure everything is working well and offers additional features, such as storage optimization.
