These are the best DC games
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mostly just called MCU, has been following a clear line since 2008, there is a constant ups and downs at archrival DC. That should change now!
Under the creative direction of director and writer James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), the DC cosmos gets donated a cinematic reboot.

Meanwhile, we continue with the best DC video games! Of course, various video games about Batman, Superman and other heroes of the Justice League have appeared over time.
Start with:
Batman: Arkham City
The Arkham games are real critic and fan favorites and are considered along with Marvel’s Spider-Man as the best comic book video games ever. Batman: Arkham City is particularly popular among fans, which was released in 2011 for the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the PC. This is also supported by the extremely high score of 96 percent on Metacritic.
There is now also an improved port for the last-gen consoles:
Batman: The Telltale Series
If you love Batman but can’t do anything with the open world of the Arkham series, Telltale’s two Batman games are a clear recommendation. Here the focus is clearly on the story and the decisions, which you as a player meet to influence the outcome of the story. The interactive films are available for the PlayStation 4 on Amazon, among others:
injustice 2
What happens when the creators of Mortal Kombat develop a DC-licensed beat ’em up? The answer is called Injustice 2. The brawler was released in 2017 and pits various heroes and villains against each other. The famous graphics, the large scope and the spectacular finishers earned the game a whopping 87 on Metacritic.
The Wolf Among Us
Many probably don’t know that, but The Wolf Among Us is also part of the DC Universe. In the role of Bigby Wolf you have to solve a criminal case. The highlight: The world is based on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and transports the mythical creatures into our modern times. By the way: Part 2 is scheduled to be released this year! A good time to catch up on the predecessor:
Lego DC Super Villains
There are also a number of great DC games for the youngest comic fans. These include, above all, the Lego games around Batman. The Lego DC Super-Villians game occupies a special position here. The name says it all, but you don’t play the heroes here, but the villains of Gotham and Metropolis. Otherwise you can expect the typical Lego charm and a lot of collectibles:
DC Universe Online
Yes, DC Universe Online is showing its age. But the MMO is still running and even still gets updates. At the end of October 2022, for example, new content about Black Adam was released – to match the movie with The Rock. Since the game is free to play, it’s definitely worth a look. It doesn’t cost anything!
