Free repair for Apple Watch that no longer charges
Apple announces the establishment of a free repair program for Apple Watches that no longer charge when the Reserve mode is activated. The watchOS 7.3.1 update, available tonight, is supposed to correct the situation. But this may not be the case with everyone.
Free repair for Apple Watch Series 5 or SE
In a support sheet, Apple indicated one “Very limited number of customers with an Apple Watch Series 5 or an Apple Watch SE with watchOS 7.2 or 7.3 reported a problem charging their watch when it is in Reserve mode”. Installing watchOS 7.3.1 should be enough to get the load back to normal. But if this is not the case, then it is possible to have a replacement offered for your Apple Watch.
To check if your Apple Watch is affected by this issue, place your watch on the charger that you normally use, then wait at least 30 minutes. If your Apple Watch still won’t charge, contact Apple Support by clicking here to arrange a free repair by mail. Your watch will be examined by Apple before repair to verify that it is eligible for free service.
