Free of charge & via freenet TV
In March 2017, DVB-T2 replaced the former standard for digital aerial television. Since then, there have also been monthly costs for TV reception via DVB-T, but there are also free programs. Here at GIGA you can find out which channels you can receive free of charge with DVB-T2 and which you can watch for a fee on freenet TV.
The public broadcasters and some private sales channels can also be received via DVB-T2 at no monthly cost. But if you also want to watch the private channels of ProSiebenSat.1, the RTL Group and others via antenna, you have to take a freenet TV subscription in Germany.

Free DVB-T2 channels
25 channels can be received free of charge and without freenet TV access via DVB-T2. Most of these are the public broadcasters. It should be noted that some stations can only be received regionally. TV viewers in northern Germany have to do without “BR”. Depending on the residential area, at least four and a maximum of seven regional channels can be received via DVB-T2.

freenet TV connect: Additional channels via the Internet (IPTV)
The freenet TV connect service is included in the freenet TV subscription. If you have connected your connect-capable receiver or smart TV to the Internet and then start a manual search, you should have access to an expanded variety of channels. The channels can then be found together with the above-mentioned DVB-T2 channels in your usual program selection. Among other things, the following stations can be streamed over the network (IPTV):
