The time of the end of the year lists has arrived!

You’ve probably seen it all over your social media timeline: music festival posters. Behind this campaign is the so-called ‘Instafest’. This company contributes to musical end-of-year lists such as Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay.

The service connects to your Spotify account and uses your listening data to create a personalized music festival based on your favorite artists. Read on to find out what you see.

How do you make a personal poster with Instafest?

Although Apple has just launched Apple Music Replay, Spotify users still have to wait for the summary of their musical listening year. We expect Spotify Wrapped sometime in the first week of December. In the meantime, as a Spotify fanatic, you can enjoy Instafest!

For Instafest you have to log in via Spotify. The service then analyzes your top artists of the year and automatically generates a three-day music festival based on that data. You can choose from your listening history of the last four weeks, your most recent six months or all time! Name your festival, customize the design and share it on your feed!

Something fun has also been added for the music snobs. The base score gives you a grade from 0-100 based on how special your festival’s music is! A low score means that your festival has more niche artists, while a high score means that your festival mainly listens to ‘basic’ music. Do you dare to share your score? View your own festival poster quickly via the website!
