Fanatec and Gran Turismo form an official partnership -apkrig
Polyphony Digital and Fanatec have announced a new partnership between the developer and the peripheral manufacturer. They will collaborate on new officially licensed products for Gran Turismo with advanced feedback. Fanatec will become the third official partner of the famous racing series after Logitech and Thrustmaster.
Polyphony Digital will be directly involved in the design of the steering wheels from Fanatec.
As you can imagine, both sides are expected to praise the alliance. Together, they want to reduce the difference between simulation and actual racing. The two companies exchange courtesies through their representatives. Fanatec boss Thomas Jackermeier praises Jamauči for pushing the boundaries of software and popularizing the racing simulation genre.
Gran Turisma’s father and Polyphony Digital’s head Kazunori Yamauči praise Fanatec for innovation in the field of hardware. According to him, he shares the same spirit and ambition. It is worth noting that the formal notice mentions the common products in the plural on several occasions. Polyphony Digital will be directly involved in their design.
It is not without interest when we learn about the alliance. According to GTPlanet magazine, this happens immediately after images of the new steering wheel from Fanatec with the Gran Turisma logo have escaped. The white-blue box clearly indicated that it would be an official PlayStation accessory. Fanatec is expected to announce the first product in this line within a few weeks, and production is scheduled to begin this year. But he can easily focus on the older GT Sport.
Interestingly, we only learn about such news shortly after the mention of the as yet unavailable beta version of Gran Turisma 7, which its authors are probably planning, probably missed prematurely via the PlayStation Experience website. Can this indicate that we will hear about GT7 again soon?
