Evil Dead: The Game – Apkrig
The game adaptation of the cult horror film Evil Dead (Forest Ghost) hasn’t been here for a really long time. If we don’t count DLC Ash vs Evil Dead for Dead by Daylight, fans last met Ash, the young Ash, in 2005 in Evil Dead 2: Regeneration, which followed on from the first adaptation of Evil Dead: Hail to the King of 2000.
The new adaptation, called simply Evil Dead: The Game, belongs to the decently squeezed genre of cooperative assassins of zombies or demons. Here, too, you will go at night in a group of four into the deep forests surrounding the forest hut to face horrible phenomena with the help of chainsaws, shotguns, swords, pickaxes and other tools of death.
You will look for loot, make items from it to survive, and try to find the keys that will close the gates to other worlds for good. If you want to spice up the experience a bit, you can reach for PvP mode, in which some players take on the role of demons capable of possessing the heroes themselves and sucking the soul out of their friends.
The adaptation of Evil Dead: The Game was entrusted to the Saber Interactive studio, which has a great SnowRunner simulation. In this case, however, his other successful game is probably more valuable, as well as the adaptation of World War Z, in which the creators tried working with hordes of the undead. It can be assumed that they will use their experience in Evil Dead, and despite the sophistication of the genre, it could therefore be a solid butchery.
You can look forward to iconic locations and refined humor from Forest Spirit, Deadly Evil 2, Army of Darkness and the modern series concept Ash vs Evil Dead. In addition, the creators managed to find a representative of Ash – actor Bruce Campbell, whose voice will take care of telling the story.
Evil Dead: The Game will be released next year on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Switch.
