Everything you need to know about the new Xbox Night Mode
A clever new feature is in the works under Microsoft called the Xbox Night Mode. You can do this with it.
Enjoying gaming in the evening? Yes, then you are not waiting for an extremely illuminated console and controller. That’s fine during the day. In the evening, or even at night, it could all be a bit quieter. Microsoft understands that and is working on a special new feature called Night Mode for your Xbox.
Xbox night mode
The American tech giant is currently testing the feature. What Night Mode does is optionally dim the screen, adjust the brightness of the LEDs on your controller, and also dim the Xbox power button’s lighting. The test is now live for Xbox Insiders within Alpha Skip-Ahead. HDR can also be turned off, or you can enable a Dark Mode for the menu.
It’s not all pre-programmed. You can personalize the night mode to your own taste. It is also possible to have it switched on automatically or manually. That automatic is nice. In the summer, for example, it is pleasant from about 10 pm, while in the winter it may already be functional from 7 pm when it gets dark early outside.
Since the night mode is still part of the Xbox test program, you have to be patient. In time, however, the feature will also come to your Xbox.
