Stranger Things is back with a first trailer for the fourth season. If you want to go into the show completely blank, this is also a moment to scroll through to the release date, because the trailer gives away a few things. Anyway, here’s what we know about Stranger Things season 4.
Stranger Things season 4
The main thing that the trailer reveals is the fact that all the well-known characters are coming back. Of course we see Eleven, who apparently hasn’t found her powers yet. Season 4 takes place six months after the big brawl in Starcourt.
Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Max, Steve, Nancy, Joyce and Jonathan are also back, for the first time in different group compositions. Not surprisingly, even Hopper is back again. At the end of season 3, it seemed like we had to say goodbye to the character forever.
We already know a few things about him based on interviews for season 4. For example, the actor who plays Hopper announced that we will get to know more of his background. Also, Season 4 no doubt reveals how he survived S3’s apparent sacrifice.
Furthermore, at the end of the explosive trailer, we see the monster that will be the main enemy of this season. A real creep, it becomes clear very quickly.
Twice as long
It has also already been announced that season 4 of Stranger Things has received a hefty sum of money from Netflix. The show is in fact twice as long as all previous seasons were. It is not yet clear exactly how many episodes will be released. But we’re sure there will be twice as much content coming.
Release date
And then there is of course the key question: when can you start enjoying Stranger Things again. Season 4 of the hit series drops in two parts, starting May 27. Then half of the total amount of episodes will be available. The second half will be released a good month later on July 1.
