Samsung does not want to say how many pre-orders have been placed exactly. That’s information they’d rather keep to themselves. Why the Galaxy S22 is suddenly so popular compared to the S21 is not clear. Perhaps there is now a larger group that wants to make the switch from, for example, an older model, such as the S19 or S20. You don’t have to do it for the enormous innovation. The differences between the S22 and S21 are not terribly big.

For example, in addition to the usual improvements for the design, camera and processor, the S22 now also has an entrance to store the S Pen. With this, the new Everyone wants a Samsung Galaxy S22 actually replaces the Note series, which may also be an explanation for the increased pre-orders.
