Eurovision Song Contest 2023: best apps to follow the singing festival
The first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 9. One of the most bizarre and fun music events in the world – with all its quirky dances, quirky clothes and often slightly odd songs – is being held in Liverpool this year. Now this can of course be viewed ‘normally’ on television, but there are also a number of apps with which you can follow the Eurovision Song Contest even better, give your own marks and sing along. In this article we list them for you.

1. App especially for Mia and Dion
Let’s say it will be an exciting first semi-final for the Netherlands. Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper – the two singers representing the Netherlands this year – have proven to be able to sing without (major) false outliers at their last performance, but previous performances unfortunately proved the opposite. In Madrid and Amsterdam it was so intensely false that even the crows in my beautiful garden were surprised and the neighbour’s cats started meowing.
After a few adjustments, however, it seems to be going better now and we hope that they will do well in Liverpool. Then they can really let Europe enjoy the song Burning Daylight. The earworm that lingers in your head all day. Perhaps this app can help Mia and Dion even further.

2. Eurovision Song Contest
We are very good at a number of things in the Netherlands. One of these is having an opinion about everyone and everyone. This is no different with the Eurovision Song Contest. And to be fair, there are also very bad songs, singers and performances. But fortunately also good. Now you can write down what you think of a performance on the couch with pen and paper, but you can also share it with friends and the whole of the Netherlands in the AVROTROS Song Festival app.
In this app you can give a rating with which you can immediately let us know what you think of a song, the performance or the styling of the artists. In the app you can therefore rate all acts on the points ‘vocals’, ‘act’ and ‘song’. You can then compare your given figures with the rest of the Netherlands or with your friends. In the app you can create a group of friends in which you can see what your friends think of a certain performance.
