Elon Musk continues to pay for Starlink satellites for Ukraine
Elon Musk has changed his mind again. His company SpaceX is now supposed to continue providing Starlink satellite internet for Ukraine. At the end of last week things looked different because of the high running costs.
Elon Musk should already be known to some for his willingness to make decisions. But the Tesla boss not only likes to make decisions very often, he apparently also likes to change his mind very often.
This is also the case with Starlink Internet for Ukraine. Musk said on Friday that he could no longer bear the costs of the operation. On Saturday, however, things looked very different again.
Musk continues to pay Starlink-Internet for Ukraine
In a tweet on Saturday, Elon Musk wrote “To hell with that”. He wants to continue to support the government of Ukraine free of charge.
Although Starlink is still losing money and other companies are receiving billions in taxpayers’ money, we will continue to fund the Ukrainian government for free.
The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free

Why did Musk want to cancel support?
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Elon Musk has provided Starlink satellite internet through his space company SpaceX. In this way, access to mobile communications and the Internet should also be made possible in areas where the infrastructure has been destroyed.
It’s a costly affair. So far, the 20,000 satellite units in Ukraine have cost the Musk company around $80 million, how CNN calculated. SpaceX predicts that another $120 million will be added for the remainder of the year.
In a letter to the Pentagon, the company said it would not be able to fund the satellites in Ukraine out of its own pocket “indefinitely.”
