Good news for Ikea fans: The world’s largest Furniture chain is turning the price screw in a big way. Several well-known pieces of furniture and furnishings as well as entire product lines are now permanently reduced in price. They also want to keep prices low for new items and thus take into account the effects of the pandemic. However, the amount of the discount varies.
Ikea is lowering prices across various categories: Popular furniture such as the Malm chest of drawers are becoming cheaper, furniture and furnishings for the study, bedroom, kitchen or bathroom are also among the permanently reduced products (source: Ikea). In the future, customers will also be able to save on lamps as with some items from the popular Trådfri range (see at Ikea) for smart lighting.
In addition, one wants to position the entire low-price segment more strongly. Means: In the future, Ikea will attach great importance to inexpensive products and bring more of them into the trade: 350 new, particularly affordable items are planned for the coming financial year.
