Dialing emergency numbers will be easier in Android
Most of us remember emergency numbers used in our home country. However, each country has several numbers of its own, which can be a problem, for example, if you travel abroad or have moved to another country. Google is aware of this issue and is now adding suggestions for emergency numbers in your current country to your Android system. The Android Police portal informed about the news.
Emergency number suggestions have been recorded by users in France, Brazil and the USA
Suggestions will be displayed specifically when dialing emergency numbers based on your current location. Until now, the application only displayed a link to your emergency contacts and a dial pad. In France, for example, the new feature has begun displaying all emergency contacts, including the universal number 112. The change has also been noticed by users in Brazil and the United States. To dial one of the suggested numbers, just drag the icon from left to right.
The novelty is also available for Android 11 users
The news is slowly reaching users of Google Pixel devices with the latest version of Android 11, but also for beta testers of the new Android 12. So it is probably not an exclusive feature that is only available to users of the new version of Android, but an update of the Personal Security application.
Our tip
You don’t need Android 12 for a better overview of privacy. All you need is this application
