Detonation Racing plays it Fast & Furious on iOS (Apple Arcade release)
Detonation Racing, it’s a bit like the JPP of the racing game: always straight, drifts in the turns, and mega explosions to put the competitors out of state to harm (or win). The studio game Electric Square don’t bother with frills and aim for the arcade. In a truly dismal future, a racing competition pits daredevil pilots against each other on circuits riddled with traps. The big organizer of this radical show is kind of a weird guy with a grinning smiley face. It is he who decides when the pylon should fall on the road, or when the tank should explode as vehicles pass. In short, a real sadist.
In this title at the crossroads of a Fast & Furious and a Burning Road, the vehicles are constantly accelerating. Only possibility in the turns, to make drifts, and to brake at the right time when exiting the drift so as not to hit the wall. Detonation Racing is decidedly arcade, rather well done (especially on mobile), and promises a few good hours of pure fun for Apple Arcade subscribers.
