Delays in Raptor propulsion causes displeasure among CEO Musk
One person who is particularly conspicuous for controversial publications is Elon Musk. The entrepreneur has a knack for falling in with the door and has already demonstrated in the past that he doesn’t like to talk about the bush. After voting on the sale of Tesla shares on Twitter over the past few weeks, an email from SpaceX is now making the rounds.
Musk addresses a big problem in it, the development of the Raptor engine is not really making headway. One day the project should enable people to bring goods and people to the moon or Mars. A senior employee who had served with the company since 2009 has already been fired from the project due to lack of progress.
So what is a person like Musk talking about? That there is no way to gloss over the problems and also that SpaceX could go bankrupt due to the current setbacks in the foreseeable future. Employees should come to the office over the weekends and cancel or postpone their planned vacation for the company.
Later there was also a statement on it on Twitter. Here Musk is a little gentler and only speaks of the fact that bankruptcy is unlikely, but possible. The goal of having a Starship withdraw every two weeks in 2022 should be achieved under any circumstances to ensure the future of the company.
The Starship also plays an important role for the Starlink satellites. The next generation of these satellites will namely be brought into orbit with the revised rockets of the company. So SpaceX continues to have ambitious goals, the pressure on employees seems to be enormous.
On the other hand, the company can also look back positively on the past year. In the past 11 months, they have been able to launch 25 Falcon 9 missions, sending dozens of astronauts into space. So it remains exciting to see what Elon Musk has in store for the next few years.
