Dark mode finally comes to Google search
Google has begun testing the dark mode in desktop search on a large scale. As is the case with testing from Google, it is an A / B test, which in short means that only a randomly selected sample of users will be able to participate in the test. Mac OS users can also participate in the test, informs the XDA portal.
If you want to know if dark mode is available to you, try all the browsers you have installed. Until Google Chrome offers a test, Microsoft Edge may offer it. You should see a window similar to the one below.
Dark mode for Google search on your computer
It is also important to mention that the dark mode has been on the mobile for some time. Specifically, it’s the Google Search app or just Google. Desktops are also slowly coming in, so your computer won’t be so bright when you’re working late at night. There will be more or less the same settings as on the mobile – dark, light theme and system settings. The system setting means that the theme adapts to the overall theme of your device – it will be either dark or light.
By the way, we announced at the end of last year that Google was trying a dark topic on computers. At that time, however, it was a much smaller test, more accessible to a small group of people, who were subsequently removed by Google. So Google is still working to give darkness to all of its applications and platforms. If you want to know what other applications offer dark mode, we have prepared a complete list for you.
