“Daddy, don’t tickle mommy like that”
A kitten who sees your guy’s bare buttocks as prey or a child who suddenly stands next to your bed and whispers. It’s pretty tough, maintaining your smooth sex life as a parent.
Devika (26) is married to Sunder (30) and mother of Liam (4):
“Our house has sliding doors everywhere and because our son doesn’t understand them, they are always open. No problem for sex at six in the morning, we thought. My husband and I were completely absorbed in each other, until Sunder suddenly let out an icy scream. Our kitten had seen his buttocks as prey and jumped on it – claws out. That didn’t just mean the end of lovemaking.
“Our kitten had seen his buttocks as prey and – nails out – jumped on top”
As we sat up in the pillows while my husband checked the damage to his buttocks, we noticed our son, motionless in a corner of the room. How much of the spectacle he had witnessed will always remain a mystery, but those sliding doors will remain closed from now on.”
Don’t tickle
Charlotte (39) is married to Jochem (40) and mother of Wouter (8) and Samuel (5):
“Tickling makes you scream. We all know that. So it’s not surprising that our son stood up for me, the evening of my birthday with a little too much champagne. Jochem and I almost ate each other out of sheer lust; we used all sides of the bed and I burst out laughing.
Until we heard Wouter whisper at the foot of the bed: ‘Dad, don’t tickle Mum like that, otherwise she will cry. Oh, and I can’t sleep.’ He was right, the same warning I gave when he and his little brother went on romping for too long. Giggling, we took him between us. ‘It’s all right dear,’ I said, ‘Mommy and Dad were just playing around.’ After which he – finally – slept through a long night.”

Are you coming, Daddy?
Saskia (34) is married to Arno (41) and is the mother of Thomas (6) and Sofie (4):
“It was Sunday morning and we were sitting at the dining table in pajamas. Finally a moment to catch up after an intense working week. The children played nicely. ‘Daddy. would you like to help set up the marble run?’ ‘Yes, Thom, but first I have to clean something up with mom,’ Arno replied.
Cleaning something up this morning had a completely different meaning. We sneaked upstairs to kick off Sunday really well. We knew it had to be done quickly, because Thomas is rather impatient. As Arno approached his peak, Thomas knocked on our bedroom door. ‘Daddy, are you coming?’”
