Cult RPG unrecognizable – thanks to the “Gilmore Girls” mod
Cult series meets cult role-playing game: A developer has designed a nifty “Gilmore Girls” mod for a popular role-playing game – and has made the dream of many fans come true.
The dramedy series Gilmore Girls and the Japanese role-playing game Fire Emblem are rarely mentioned in the same sentence. Marlowe Dobbe obviously has a completely different opinion on this, because she has developed a mod connects the Gilmore Girls with Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The successful series, which told the complicated relationship between mother Lorelai and her daughter Rory Gilmore in 153 episodes from 2000 to 2007, meets the eighth entry in the long-lived role-playing saga – which was originally published in 2004 for Game Boy Advance.
Girlmore Girls meets Fire Emblem in cult mod
The mod by Marlowe Dobbe offers fans the opportunity to experience the worlds of Mixing Gilmore Girls and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones together. Dobbe has integrated characters from the series (several of which are playable) into a specially designed story. Lorelai, Rory, Luke and Kirk have to meet move through four newly created maps in Stars Hollowto fight a monster invasion and achieve its goals. In addition, Dobbe added “witty” dialog options, according to his own statement. The playing time of the mod is around an hour.
Dobbe explained on the official “Itch.io” page of the projectthat they the mod as a Christmas present for her partner has developed. Her boyfriend had watched all seven seasons of the cult series with her last year.
Crossover between Gilmore Girls and Fire Emblem finds fans
Dobbe was happy to receive numerous enthusiastic comments on Twitter. For fans of both franchises With this mod, a dream came true – and the best thing about it is that nobody really thought about this project before. How Dobbe’s friend reacted to the unexpected Christmas present is unfortunately not known – but the popularity of the mod at least suggests that the project has been a complete success.
