Computer failure paralyzes Brest hospital
The scheduled interventions have been canceled and postponed to the Brest CHRU, affected since Wednesday morning by a computer failure, said the Regional Health Agency (ARS) in a press release.
“The CHRU of Brest-Carhaix has known since 7:00 this (Wednesday) morning a computer failure of technical origin, seriously disrupting its activity”, said ARS Brittany, inviting the population not to go to the hospital center spontaneously and to call 15 if necessary.
The “White Plan” has been launched “with reinforcements requested from the laboratory and IT services”, according to the ARS. “ Degraded procedures have been put in place in the departments. Scheduled interventions have been canceled and postponed”added the ARS.

The CHRU had indicated a little earlier that the computer failure of technical origin did not allow a satisfactory reception of patients in the emergency room. All hospitalization activities and technical platforms (imaging, biology, block) are suspended except for life-threatening emergencies.
This is a computer failure and not a hack, unlike what happened to the hospital in Essonne. Hackers have also recently published a lot of data, including those related to health.
