Buying an iPhone 14 Pro (Max) in time for Christmas is going to be tough, Best Buy warns
You will have to act quickly, very quickly even if you want at all costs to get an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max for Christmas. The boss of Best Buy, a major American brand, confirms difficulties in terms of stock.
It’s now for the iPhone 14 Pro
“One of the places where we are seeing some pressure (on inventory) is in high-end iconic iPhones”Best Buy boss Corie Barry said in a call with some media outlets, including Reuters.
His statement is in itself not surprising, knowing that Apple has already spoken on the subject. Earlier this month, the manufacturer announced that stock of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be complicated before and during Christmas due to restrictions in place at Foxconn’s production plant in Zhengzhou, China. Here’s what the company said:
Covid-19 restrictions have temporarily impacted the main assembly site for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max located in Zhengzhou, China. The plant is currently operating at a significantly reduced capacity. As we have done throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, we are prioritizing the health and safety of workers in our supply chain.
We continue to see strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, we now expect iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments to be lower than we expected, and customers will have to wait longer to receive their new products.
We are working closely with our supplier to return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of every worker.
In addition, Apple recently published the deadlines for ordering a product and hoping to have it in time for Christmas. That was until November 17 for both iPhone 14 Pros. A model ordered today will be delivered on December 29. An alternative is to turn to resellers like Fnac, Darty, Amazon and Cdiscount which announce stock for the next few days.
